Great interview. Mike's an underrated (and somewhat unknown) player whose sound is essential to TP and the HB's. Great to hear from him. And who knew about the Dirty Knobs?!? Not me. Come to the Midwest, and bring Mudcrutch along for the ride!

Terrific interview - well done. Interviewing people is what I do for a living and you did all the right things: being well prepared, allowing Mike a chance to reveal himself and not being intrusive. All the Heartbreakers are very interesting musicians and the story of this band is almost heroic in its longevity and its willingness to keep on moving. One of the things that keeps them that way is their humility and dignity. I rate Mike Campbell as one of the greatest guitarists alive.

Well done interview, thank you for posting it for all of us in the world to share. I am fortunate to be able to see TP&THB live this fall [2010] in Dallas, TX, USA (3rd row center!)
I designed a hotel in Osaka, and had the great opportunity to visit Japan on several occasions from 1990 to 1994. I would love to return someday. My best wishes to you all for the continued success of your website.
